Justice to Others (A Day of Service for Lent)

Hi all:
So we have our time and space secured for the service project. It will be next Sunday, March 29 at Carpenter’s Shelter: 930 N Henry St, Alexandria, VA 22314

We will be serving breakfast around 8 AM, so we will need to get there rather early. We’re thinking waffles, eggs, bacon or sausage, and the regular coffee/tea/juice deal. I think if we secure the supplies on Saturday and got to the kitchen between 6:00-6:30 AM on Sunday, we should be able to whip up a breakfast worth noting.

Please let me know if you would like to join in the cooking, and/or if you would like to help by providing some of the food we need. Thanks!

costco run sounds good…could you and matt and a few others work that out? I will be there Sunday, but will be gone tomorrow and Saturday

    Hi Lisa,
I’m not sure, but I think we should prepare for about 40-50 people. While a lot of people don’t hang out at the center, I know Sunday morning is a popular time for a meal, so I’m hopefully overestimating!

i’m happy to whip up some fresh biscuits/muffins if you think those would be good/helpful

  8. We should prepare for 75. :)

    Biscuits/muffins would be great!
