Can You Help Deliver Furniture to Neighbors in Need?

Help! We are looking for 3-5 strong volunteers to help with furniture delivery for a group called ALIVE in February.
What: We pick up furniture that people in Alexandria are donating and then you deliver it to people in Alexandria who need it. (Obviously the ALIVE people give us addresses. We don’t randomly take and give furniture, although that would be interestingly Robin Hoodish.)
When: Saturday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 27 at 8am (yes this is early but it will feed your soul)
Where to meet: First Christian Church. 2723 King Street, Alexandria

It’s true that this will feed your soul. My husband Dave volunteered for the furniture pickups once or twice when he was still relatively well, and he lived off that experience for a long time.
BTW, if any of you is comfortable driving one of these pretty-big panel trucks such as ALIVE uses, and you are free Tuesday morning 2/2, I would love to have your skilled company on a computer pickup run for Computer CORE. I’m scheduled to borrow ALIVE’s truck to get 70 CPUs from Chevy Chase, MD, and would like very much to return the truck in same condition as borrowed.
