Society of St. Andrew Celebration and Potato Drop Saturday, March 28

To celebrate the work of the Society of St. Andrew ministries and to raise awareness about hunger, FUMC is hosting a special celebration event and Potato Drop on Saturday, March 28 at 1:00 pm in the fellowship hall. The Potato Drop will begin at 2:00 pm. The celebration will feature a presentation on the Society of St Andrew end-hunger ministries, remarks by Mike Waldmann, Executive Director of the Society of St. Andrew, and reflections by Fairlington members about their involvement in Fairlington’s hunger ministries. The Potato Drop will take place in the large parking lot immediately following the presentations. Come help unload a truck load of potatoes that will be delivered to food banks and shelters to the area. This is a family-friendly event with activities planned for small children.
